The first fitting:

First fittings take approximately 45-60 minutes for wedding gowns and 15-30 minutes for bridesmaids’ gowns and other garments. The garments will be pinned and fitted to show the client the ideal fit of the garment.  Wedding gowns do not come with a pre-adjusted bustle, the seamstress will show you the bustle options.

 

During your appointment, the fees for recommended alterations will be discussed so you can agree upon the look that best suits your needs.  A second fitting or a pick-up appointment will be scheduled that fits your schedule.

 

No payment is due at the first fitting.  The balance of alteration costs will be due at the scheduled pick-up time, before the garment is released to the customer.  A Special Note From Colleen: Alterations left in excess of 90 days will be donated to the charity of Colleen’s choice.

 

Alterations costs?

Colleen’s goal is to perfect the fit of your garment while staying in your budget. The cost of alterations is based on the complexity and simplicity of each task, the seamstress will need to see the client in the garment to discuss fitting enhancements. No quotes will be given over the phone, only in person after the seamstress has seen the garment on the client. Please call 503-554-6633 to schedule an appointment for your in-person  estimate.

 

There is no charge for the consultation, in order to give effective reasonable pricing estimate for alteration charges it is necessary for Colleen to see the garment on the client. Additional charges apply to rush orders needed within 14 days. Remember to budget the costs of alterations and bustling the gown when choosing your perfect wedding gown.
